One Direction for Logie Brows 2012

Australia's night of nights for television was held last Sunday night in Melbourne. Mass hysteria erupted with the boys from One Direction winning over once again, the teenage crowds during their visit to the Logie Awards.

I had lots of gorgeous brows to look at this year with the trend of thicker brows and brows shaped according to facial features. We all know that is my personal love.

My favourite of the night was Jennifer Hawkins; a softly angled thicker brow, 2 shades darker than her lighter hair. The angle is not too strong so it doesn't accentuate the point of the chin....simply gorgeous brows and her dress was stunning too!

 

Kate Ritchie has always had beautiful brows. 1-2 shades lighter than her darker hair and a flatter brow so the length of the face is not increased. Gorgeous!

 

 

The boys from Home and Away did not disappoint in the brow department either. Groomed brows are so attractive for a male, never shaped just groomed and tidied so they still look like men.

 

 

Rebecca Gibney is a brow lover. Her brows are always shaped and accentuated to her features. 1-2 shades darker than her light hair and a soft angled shape.

 

 

I can't mention One Direction without including a photo for the teenage readers :-) Once again brows are highlighted in this photo. 5 different people and 5 different types of brows. Our brows are meant for us and just need accentuating or grooming. Why try to have a brow that suits someone else when you can have the perfect brow that suits you?

World famous star with brows to match....

Elizabeth Taylor

As a child star, Elizabeth Taylor had brows that most people envy.

Throughout her life, her brows were always shaped according to their natural shape which is softly angled, and they were full and dark.

Using your natural shape as a base, ensures you have a brow that suits you instead of trying to follow a trend that may not.

 

Above is one of my favourite photos.

Her eyebrow shape is softly angled, balanced and helps draw you to her eyes.

One of her most famous roles as Cleopatra, the brows were a focal point of the makeup.

Even though her brows were so thick and pronounced, they always suited her as these were the brows she was given naturally.

They were enhanced with subtle shaping.

In every photo.....always the same shape....her natural soft angled shape.

Even as she aged her brows remained the same, while many that went through the trends of shaving their brows off and drawing them on, never had the same brows again.

Elizabeth Taylor, who died on March 23, 2011, was one of the few real Hollywood stars with glamour and class and I will never forget those beautiful brows.
