What is the difference between accredited and non accredited training you may ask?

Non-Accredited Training

Students do not receive formal nationally recognised qualifications, accredited certificates or statements of attainments.

Training is not recognised outside of particular company / organisation or in the industry.

Training provided is not regulated by government educational departments and therefore does not meet formal training and assessing guidelines.

Organisation and training provided is not audited by any education departments that ensure all federal, state and local health and safety, training and assessment guidelines are met.

Legal consequences may occur if you are providing services when not appropriately trained.

Accredited Training

Provides nationally recognised training.

Can only be provided by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or by a RTO partner (Get Threaded is approved as a RTO).

Meets ASQA (or NVR) compliance and is regulated by government bodies.

Training is regularly audited and reviewed by government education departments and governing bodies to regularly improve training performance processes and assessment methods.

Accredited units can be used as RPL (recognition of prior learning) for further studies in other courses.

Courses are reviewed and updated regularly (our courses are internally reviewed on a quarterly basis).

Course Overview

Certificate II in Hair Removal (Threading) is designed and suitable for people to work within the hair or beauty industry as a threading artist. It is suitable for people already in the hair or beauty industry or new participants wanting to enter into these industries.

Course Hours: 204 Completed with 2 (approx 4-6 hour) intensive practical sessions and flexible distance online theory learning.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available for qualified students.

Practical session details:

Sessions are very intensive, hands on and are delivered with no more than 3 students at a time. Students are required to provide models as learning and assessment is conducted during sessions. Materials for completion of sessions are provided. (Session hours are approximate and are deturmined by learning outcomes)

Health and Safety
Health and hygiene,insurance, regulations and requirements.

Online Training Explained
Requirements and program overview.

Products
Product knowledge- what's in a threading artists kit

Anatomy
Anatomy of the skin and hair, contra-indications, adverse effects, diseases and disorders.

Demonstration and Practical
This will cover the first technique of threading and starter consultation, firstly on the headblock, then performed on the model(s).

Day 2 (Approx 4-6 hours)

Consultations
Client expectations, skin and hair analysis and achieving realistic results.

Demonstration and Practical
This will cover the 2 other methods of threading and includes facial hair threading techniques.

Creating Beautiful Brows
Examples of good and bad brows, analysis of face shapes and brow styles using the Get Threaded exclusive shaping methods.

Design Skills Practical
Hands on practice with model(s) designing beautiful brows to suit the person. Facial threading models also at this time(if model supplied by student).

Recap and Troubleshooting
Covering what you've learnt and your chance to ask any questions.

Assessment will be conducted throughout both sessions.
